GENERAL MANAGER INTERN
ONE INTERN POSITION FILLED FOR 2024
Individuals should have a complete understanding of the game of baseball and a proven interest in statistics. Preference will be given to college students who have sports-related majors and a strong interest in baseball. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Must attend all home and away games throughout all regular season & playoff games and special events.

Become acquainted with players’ names, coaches’ names, and uniform numbers prior to the season, and secure and update a daily list of players via league transactions.

Maintain an up-to-date list of players currently on all rosters.

Track college players in other summer leagues Cotuit might be interested in for current season.

Track and research college players that Cotuit might be interested in for next season.

Score every game with game notes and track pitches with pitch speeds.

Update Kettleers General Manager with important news from college and CCBL.

Contact college coaches about Cotuit’s interest in various players.

Assist the organization with public relations, special events, and other similar projects/duties as assigned.

Housing to be negotiated.

Must provide own transportation to away games (gas allowance provided by organization). Car-pooling to away games with media interns is encouraged.
MLB LIAISON INTERN
ONE INTERN POSITION (POSITION FILLED FOR 2024)
Individuals must have a complete understanding of the game of baseball. Extensive knowledge of baseball (rules, pitches/talent, and history) is required. Technology skills (Word, Excel, internet research capabilities, and social media) are required. Preference will be given to college students who have sports-related majors and have been actively involved in baseball and sports programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

The Major League Baseball (MLB) Scout Liaison is the connection between each Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) franchise and the MLB scouts. The MLB Scout Liaison is the contact person for major league scouts to communicate necessary scouting information for each CCBL franchise.

Must attend all home and away games throughout regular season, playoffs, and special events.

Monitor and track game-day lineups, probable starting pitcher, batting practice and infield practice schedule, weather outlook, injury update, etc. and send Tweet every day by 10:00 AM to inform scouts of this latest news.

Produce a Scouts Roster Sheet each week with the following player information; player name, hometown, uniform number, position, height, weight, college, draft status, current statistics, etc. (Scouts Roster Sheets are prepared for scouts only and contain personal information not to be shared with the general public.)

Keep track of player transactions, league statistics, league leaders, etc. as required.

Arrive two hours prior to every home game to coordinate applicable information with interested scouts and answer inquiries.

Coordinate with the Kettleers Field Manager and General Manager to obtain all pertinent information.

Coordinate contact information and record-keeping of player information with other franchise MLB Scout Liaisons and CCBL MLB Scout Liaison Project Coordinator.

Assist the organization with projects/duties as assigned.

The MLB Scout Liaison will work the hours necessary as justified by the job responsibilities.
